Opened in 1981, Aegis is a Domestic Violence Crisis Shelter that provides short-term (90 days) residence and support services for families who must immediately leave their homes due to domestic violence. Victims of Domestic Violence can access Aegis by calling the domestic violence hot-line operated by the New York City Human Resource Administration, which is also the licensing and funding Agency for Aegis.
Palladia recognizes that victims of domestic violence experience long lasting trauma. Our confidential and safe space offers care and support to domestic violence victims so they can recognize how violence impacts them and their children. We provide a new beginning for families to begin the healing process and address some of the issues that they face.
