Parole Transition Program

The Parole Transition Program (PTP) is a 90 to 120 day community residence for adult males who are under the supervision of New York State Division of Parole (DOP); the program operates in three stages, from orientation to reintegration to stabilization and reentry.  PTP offers an array of services that promote a drug free lifestyle, a positive sense of self worth and independent living skills.

  • medical and HIV/AIDS education
  • anger management
  • domestic violence groups
  • group and individual counseling
  • substance abuse counseling
  • random urine toxicology testing
  • vocational and education liaison and referrals
  • money management
  • responsible father's parenting program
  • family and social issues
  • legal paternity and a workable child support orders

People Served - Men Only

  • 18 years of age or older
  • must have a history of substance abuse
  • must be unemployed and homeless or have a living environment not conducive to recovery
  • must need outpatient substance abuse services and/or other support services, such as educational and vocational services
