You've heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday: bumper shopping sale days that tell you to "buy, buy, buy" even before Thanksgiving is over. Well Giving Tuesday is the new kid on the block, and it's a day to "give, give, give". Giving Tuesday is a movement made of partner organizations, businesses and individuals in all 50 states and around the world, all coming together to kick off the giving season in a new way. The Holidays are a time for presents and big sales in stores, but we've lost sight of what it really means to give. This year, why not join us on Giving Tuesday and give to those in need.
Palladia is marking Giving Tuesday by taking our Holiday Toy Drive up a notch. Our goal is to make sure every child in our programs and residences have a special gift this Holiday season, and we need YOUR help to do it. We're putting donation boxes for unused, clean, packaged toys and games in most of our locations and at Headquarters at 2006 Madison Avenue. Help us make this a bright, memorable year for Palladia kids by making a donation. You can also help by setting up your own Toy Drive and bringing gifts you collect to us. In addition to the Toy Drive, we're going to start a Holiday Greeting Card Drive to make personalized cards for the adults in our Homeless programs. It's a small but important way to bring Holiday cheer to those who could really use some. Bring unsigned, non-denominational greeting cards to any Toy Drive collection point before December 15th.

Even though this isn't a Palladia event, this is a great way to help this city we call Home. Please join Scott M. Stringer, Manhattan's Borough President, and the Food Bank NYC by bringing any food donations you may have to the Municipal Building on Centre St.
